Gaming
Gaming is a large part of my life. Here's a partial list of the games that i own
A small game company with a bunch of good games. They've won a few awards, even. I own almost everything they make, and a nice purple bag to put it all in.
- I love this game. I carry it around with me almost everywhere. I'm always up for a game of Fluxx. This was the game that introduced me to Looney Labs. I found it at a local toy store whilst looking for a birthday anniversary present for someone. I don't think i bought it then; definitely not for myself, and i think not for the present recipient. But i came back and bought it later, along with a packet of Fluxx Blanxx from a local gaming store.
- Fluxx led me to Looney Labs's website, where i found the myriad other games they sold, along with the "weekly webzine" (now bi-weekly) by the game designer, Andy Looney.
That was how i found icehouse. I got the old Icehouse: The Martian Chess Set for my birthday.
Here's a small list of my favorite Icehouse games:
- Chrononauts
- Time travel?? Yes!!
- Early American Chrononauts
- The prequel
- Nanofictionary
- The card game of telling tiny stories.
I really like this game, but i don't get to play it very often because it requires at least 3 players.
- Zombie Fluxx
- Fluxx has spawned (ha, ha) a spin-off game. Gamers love zombies.
Makers of the ever-popular Munchkin series.
I discovered Munchkin when a couple of friends gave it (and the expansion) to me for my 14th birthday anniversary. I'd never heard of Munchkin or SJ Games before, and i didn't even know enough about D&D to understand the name. Since then I've introduced a few people to the game myself.
(In no particular order, though somewhat chonological)
- Boggle
- I played this a lot for a few months, and i haven't played it much since then.
- The game of LIFE
- I got rid of this one
- Five Crowns
- Fun
- Set
- Haven't played it much since the initial "new game" spurt.
- Quiddler
- Haven't opened it yet.
- Harry Potter Uno
- Great game. Was replaced by Fluxx as the game i'm always willing to play.
- Risk
- This game takes forever! The last time i played it was at my 13th birthday party; secret mission variant. 3 hours, almost exactly.
I downloaded and printed the One World Dominion un-official expansion, but never played with it.
- Snowball Fight
- A friend brought this to my 13th birthday party, and i put it on my christmas list. Players take turns throwing snowballs at each other; the last person standing wins.
- Save Doctor Lucky
- There's nothing like a game of Save Doctor Lucky to get you in the mood for Kill Doctor Lucky.
