About Brian’s Website

Brian’s Website was a site with different stuff to entertain students who went to my middle school. It opened up in the year of 2000. My site first started off on freehomepage.com. The site had various pictures of dog, cat, and wolf photos. It also included a confusing Guestbook page. Chip's Challenge was one of the pages that was listed, but freehomepage.com was not 100% customizable. Templates were used to design the site. With one picture to add and no way to download, freehomepage.com was a waste of my time, and the layout and appearance would not make anyone stay at my site for a minute.

In the year 2002, Brian’s Website moved from freehomepage.com to geocities.com. The id name was changed from brianphillips to snowvale, the only username I can think of that nobody else would use on geocities.com. The URL became www.geocities.com/snowvale. Here, I added an e-mail page, favorites page, a what’s new page, gif page and a download page. A page for my school was added (wasn’t their official site) and a page for SimCity 2000. The Chip's Challenge page URL was www.geocities.com/snowvale/ChipsChallenge.html, which will now redirect you to Chip's Challenge CyberCafe’s Homepage. Geocities was totally customizable and was easier to use then freehomepage.com. People signed my Guestbook, which their entries are still kept on my site. Everything was exciting on my site, but as I got older, I knew that my classmates would lose interest in my site. Before I decided to shut down for good, I looked at my stats report. The Chip's Challenge page had the most visitors. I also played  Chip's Challenge along time ago, so I had a history about this. I also found out about the level editors and programs to manage level sets.

In the mid 2002’s, I switched my site to Chip's Challenge. More pages were added, and downloads for my Chip's Challenge levels were added too. All other information before the change was listed under a link called old content, which was later removed to free up space. Today, Chip's Challenge CyberCafe has really evolved from a plain simple site to a more user-friendly page. I don’t think people from school visit my site anymore, if they still do, I haven’t received an e-mail or a guestbook entry since the change. Chip's Challenge CyberCafe will stay as long as Chip's Challenge is popular.

I will try to search for pictures of my old site, but it will be most unlikely that I will find any. If you are wondering what the home page of Brian's Website looked like, you are kind of looking at it! The text was times new romam in 14 pt white font, the blue swirls as you can see was the background, and the underlined "Brian's Website" in orange at the top was the style of the title. Many of the dog, cat and wolf pictures that I had on my site can be viewed at
www.webshots.com.
